St. Thérèse of Lisieux: The Little Way of Love
St. Thérèse of Lisieux, also known as the Little Flower, is one of the most beloved saints in the Catholic Church. She is known for her “Little Way,” a simple yet profound approach to holiness through small acts of love and trust in God. Her feast day (October 1st) is a wonderful opportunity to reflect on her life, her deep love for Jesus, and how we can follow her example in our daily lives. To help children engage with her story, I’ve created a free St. Thérèse of Lisieux coloring page that you can download and print!
Who Was St. Thérèse of Lisieux?
St. Thérèse was born in France in 1873 and entered the Carmelite convent at just 15 years old. Though her life was short—she died at 24—her spiritual wisdom has touched millions. She believed that holiness wasn’t about doing great deeds but about doing small things with great love.
Her autobiography, Story of a Soul, reveals her deep trust in God and her desire to serve Him in every little moment of her life. She promised to “spend her heaven doing good on earth,” and many people have experienced her intercession through her famous “shower of roses.”

St. Thérèse teaches us that anyone, no matter how small or ordinary, can become a saint by trusting in God and offering everything to Him with love.
